Company History
The early years
SRC’s experience in EW began in the 1970s as a key contributor to the development of the EW Integrated Reprogramming Database, or EWIRDB. This database is used by many agencies, not only for EW reprogramming, but also for simulation and modeling, research and development, test and evaluation, and EW studies and analysis.
Today
SRC continues to support the EW intelligence production and reprogramming cycle with next-generation tools that assist analysts in data processing, manipulation and visualization.
Just like the AOC, SRC’s impact in EW is multifaceted. SRC provides many ground- and air-based systems that support a wide range of EW applications that include:
- The Counter Remote Control Improvised Explosive Device (RCIED) Electronic Warfare (CREW) system, or CREW Duke, which provides U.S. forces critical, life-saving protection against roadside bombs
- Silent Archer Counter-UAS EW technology used by the U.S. military
- Next generation land EW systems such as Duke Technology Insertion, which will defeat the RF threats seen on tomorrow's battlefield
- Post-mission EW data analysis for Counter-RCIED capability optimization
- A fusion tool for post-mission virtual forensics that combines immersive, 360 degree video, Google Earth® and EW data
- Threat simulators used to train pilots to identify and react to surface-to-air missile threats
Looking ahead
SRC is committed to the Integrated EW vision that will provide improved capabilities to the warfighter. As a result, the company is focused on the challenge of achieving spectrum dominance for military applications that employ RF. SRC has developed and demonstrated cognitive RF capabilities, which allows a system to “sense, learn and adapt” to the electronic battlespace. The company is also engaged in the emerging area for EW-enabled cyber activities. SRC is using an interdisciplinary approach to provide solutions for customers in this rapidly evolving and critical area for national security.
